D&D Miniatures: Unhallowed Unleashed

The first two previews of the next set of Dungeons & Dragons Miniatures, Unhallowed, have hit over at the Wizards of the Coast website. The first preview shows off some box art and a pretty hot looking Large Black Dragon. The second preview sets off my canonical Ravenloft fanboy rage, though, with pictures of Rudolph Van Richten (an old man who’s not only dead, but who’s mini seems to be modeled off of Clancy Brown ) and Strahd Von Zarovich _(looking more like a 3-D logo for Transylvania Express than D&D’s answer to Dracula). The Strahd model is what mainly gets me, seeming less like a suave, prince of the undead and more like some Anne Rice pretty boy (probably modeled off the Dragon #315 cover; good cover, but not Strahd).
My fanboy nitpicking aside, the morbidly themed minis set sounds like it still has a lot of potential. You can check in with Stephen Schubert’s weekly preview over at the WotC website every Thursday.
