One of the strongest pillars of nerdom, we're all familiar with the lore of H. P. Lovecraft. (If you're not, go here quick before anyone finds out!) Some folks go beyond mere fandom, though. The folks over at the H.P.L. Historical Society are quite easily termed "fantastically obsessed." Dedicated to bringing the works of Lovecraft to life (without out all that messy occultism), these fanatics offer postcards from Lovecraft's home town of Providence, period 1940s fonts, tips for making props for your Call of Cthulu RPG or demented decor, and some of the most elaborate and authentic-looking replicas in the world (want the entire story of Call of Cthulhu in one box? Here it is). And, somehow, they even found the time to make what's probably the most impressive Lovecraft adaptation to date, The Call of Cthulhu (done as a silent, 1940s piece).
