Open Design: Have It Your Way

Like a Venetian artisan for hire, Wolfgang Baur, former Dragon magazine Editor-in-Cheif, possesser of cool names, and game designer extraordinaire wants to write an adventure for you. Via his Open Design Project, the good Dr. Baur allows those who contribute to his venture to direct the flow of his work—voting on levels, monsters, theme, setting, and numerous other features. His patrons also get insiders' looks at the design process of one of D&D's most reknowned authors. It's kind of like DM school from the guy who writes Dungeon magazine's monthly "Dungeoncraft" column.

The first two Open Design Projects, Steam and Brass and Castle Shadowcrag, are already available, but there's still time to get in on the third of the series and decide whether it'll be The Empire of Ghouls or The City-State of Zobeck. If nothing else, its pretty impressive to see what one artist and a live journal page can do.
