Plastic is the New Pewter

Reaper Miniatures has always been a great friend to D&D players. Need a ridiculously specific miniature for your character? They're the people for that. Need a monster? Got tons of those too. Need a monster that's part of a particular company's intellectual property? Yeah, well, they've probably got those too (it's not a beholder, it's an "eye terror'). Well, come June Reaper's adding another specific to thier line of minitaure monstrosities: Plastic.
Reaper Miniatures is proud to announce the release of its first series of prepainted plastic miniatures. This new product line will be released under the brand name Legendary Encounters™.
Offered in an open, non-blind, non-random format, Legendary Encounters™ prepainted plastic miniatures will be packaged using Reaper's standard blister card. Both single and multiple piece packs will be offered.
Unlike the several existing blind-sale prepainted plastic miniature lines currently available, Legendary Encounters™ will not be produced on a limited edition basis and will be available at any time.
No rarity schemes, no extraneous rules systems, and no increasing value scheme... sign me up! I'm a big fan of paying for something and getting what I want. You can check out the entire press release on the Reaper website, and I'll be sure to post pictures from their new Legendary Encounters line as soon as I see them. I hear tell that there's a lot of peril in the pre-painted plastics process, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that these don't come out looking like melted snowmen painted by Ms. Anderson's kindergarten class.
