Top 10 Gayest Tabletop Characters: #2 Elric of Melniboné

2. Elric of Melniboné – Chaosium's Stormbringer RPG
To lend a little class to the proceedings, the second gayest character in tabletop gaming—and perhaps all fantasy literature—is none other than Elric of Melniboné. Michael Moorcock's (no comment) reverse-Conan, antihero albino may have had a wife or two, but who doesn't go through an experimentation phase. For all his ladies, pretty-like-a-girl Elric has had more than one "boys-only" romp through the wilderness and constantly cultivates an unhealthy relationship with his sword (I hear that'll make you go blind). Elric just goes to show you that, when you're the king, no one asks questions. And not only is it good to be the king, but the king looks damn good.

Sigh... Oh Elric...how I've longed for your albino, bedeviled touch!
A close friend of mine has a wonderful husband. However, when I met him for the first time, there was a classic geek faux pas.
We were playing pool. Steph had wandered off, and there was a moment of silence. Finally, he blurts out "So... you like Moorcock?" I'm straight, but even so, an awkward silence followed.
I wish I'd had the presence of mind to say "No, but I love (Philip K.) Dick."
