Hell Dorado: As Sick As It Sounds

So, you're a conquistador, and you sail abillionty miles across the ocean in search of El Dorado, the mythic City of Gold. When you finally get to the New World, against all odds, you find a massive gate that your native guide tells you leads straight to the fabulous city and all the riches you can carry. There's only one catch. Through the gate lies Hell and it turns out that The City of Gold is in a place a lot hotter than South America.

A new metal minis strategy game by Asmodée Editions—the folks who brought you Dungeon Twister—Hell Dorado lets you build a warband of conquistadors, devils, moors, gypsies, etc, all vying for the power and riches of the fiendish City of Gold. Of French origin, Asmodée has a cool Hell Dorado blog put together to preview the game (in French) and show off a bunch of new art. The boys over a boardgamegeek.com have their own first look too (in English even) with a pretty nice little preview gallery and some delightfully twisted photos of demon minis. Both well worth a look if you're a fan of quality metal minis and... you know... demons.

Hell Dorado releases next week at Gen Con Paris, although it might be a while before an English language version makes it stateside.
