Orc'n Hard At TableStar Games

I love minis strategy games... or rather, I want to love them. Seeing all the ads and battle reports from games like Warhammer Fantasy, Warmachine, and Rackham's Confrontation always makes me wish I had the skill, but more importantly, the time to gussy up some huge horde of undead, bile thralls, or alchemists (for each respectively). So, I'm a little bit taken with relative newcomer TableStar Game's Orc Wars, which is kind of like a two-players skirmish-level minis strategy game, but without the year's worth of game prep. Rather than going the complicated and often expensive pre-painted minis route, they're doing cheepo punch-out plastic minis, kind of like WizKid's Pirates game, but in sets where you know what you're going to get. Some neat ideas there, and the pictures of the orcs I've seen so far look pretty cool. The first set just released and should be hitting store shelves soon, with expansions on the way. And, best of all, no painting.
