Lectric Lich Back From Gen Con!

The lich has returned! Back from the sweltering heat, crushing crowds, and daily debauches that are the world’s biggest and best game fair, Gen Con Indy. The show was a total blast this year with more attendees than I can ever remember, some great looking new offerings from the stars of the gaming world, and some really interesting news. There's way too much to talk about in just one post though, so over the next few days I'll be recounting my adventures and giving you the lowdown one what's what and what's new straight from the con.
Up first, the Photo Dump, where you can see some of the highlights from the floor and be in awe of my completely amateur photography skill. But later on I'll tell you all I know about the best games at the show, the ENnies, and the newly announced Dungeons & Dragons Fourth Edition.

Cool...I'm (guardedly) optimistic about 4.0, but dreading buying all of those new books! I hope the 3.5 stuff will be somewhat adaptable.
Sadly motordog I have read that conversion from 3/3.5e to 4e is not on the agenda. And I share your dread of buying the new books. Personally I will probably keep playing 3.5 until enough of the people I game with convert to 4e, and then I will fork over the cash.
My beef with 3.5e was Attacks of Opportunity, which are apparently still around in 4e, but I hope they rework them somehow. I share your guarded optimism about 4e.
