D&D Tactics: Uber-Review

D&Dtactics.jpg

Eager for an electronic D&D fix but warry after being burned in the past? (Thanks Dragonshard.) Well, in the weeks since D&D Tactics came out the dice-rolling diehards over at ign.com have scoured the web, collecting all the reports and reviews they can find to inform your perilous purchasing predicament. While the reviews wildly range in their condemnation or celebration of the game, it sounds like D&D Tactics suffers from the two great pitfalls of D&D spin-offs (and perhaps even D&D itself): being too detailed for a beginner but not detailed enough for the hardcore player, and being more interested in providing an experience reminiscent of D&D (with each rules nuances, synergy bonus, and skill point intact) than crafting a good story. Check out IGN and make your own decision. But from what I've seen, it might be best to try Jean D'Arc first.

And girls who like girls who like breastplates!
