Atlas Games: President for President!

That might still be a long row to hoe, but John Nephew, gaming industry veteran and president of Atlas Games, made the right first step yesterday, getting voted into service as one of Maplewood Minnesota's newest city council members. The victory was not without its own share of political games for the maker of Ars Magica and Dungeoneer, though, as his opponent attempted a round of "games are corruptive" mudslinging (mainly focused on the company's game Let's Kill). Regardless, sanity and high Diplomacy checks won the day with Nephew pulling in more than 1,000 votes over his competitor. You can read his ideas and direction for Maplewood—and attempt to garner his favor—on his personal, political website.
So a hearty congratulations to Mr. Nephew! May your reign be long and fair!
