Game Of The Week: 1960: The Making Of The President

MoP_cover.jpg

I need more two player games. Actually, I need more cool board games in general. With that in mind, I've chosen this week's game of the week to honor both of these needs as well as the upcoming election year. I have to credit my brother, a local gaming store owner (they're a great resource for finding cool new games), for introducing me to this fascinating descent into the world of politics. In 1960: The Making of the President each of the two players takes the role of one of the candidates in the presidential election of 1960: John F. Kennedy and Richard Nixon. This game from Z-Man Games is a definite must have for any gaming political junky.

Using an electoral map for a game board, this card driven game system uses elements from the actual political campaigns as major elements. The . The game itself is a 90 minute historical romp meets strategy competition experience. Now I just wish I could get that special someone in my life interested enough in politics to play it with me!

And girls who like girls who like breastplates!
