Free Game Friday: Wandering Monsters High School

After browsing through the 24-hour RPG archives to find Ronin Story, last week's featured free game, I became addicted to the archives. This week I'll treat you to another masterpiece created in a day—this time it's Kynn Bartlett's Wandering Monsters High School.

Wandering Monsters High School lives up to its title—it poses the simple but significant question, "what if you were a monster who went to high school?" You play a D&D-esque monster—troll, goblin, iron golem, blob, phase spider etc.—who has to deal with everything that school entails: getting into school teams, getting good grades, getting the cute boy/girl/blob. Your stats are your grades (brilliantly set on a A-F scale), your classes are your skills, and... you're a monster. Isn't that reason enough to download it? It's a fast and free read that oozes charm like the best of Lovecraftian entities ooze slime.
