Scrying The 4e Crystal Ball: New Dungeons & Dragons Miniature Rules!

Since Wizards of the Coast can't even seem to provide their previews for free (I mean really... $20 bucks for a book that tells me SOME of what I'll see in the new edition, I just have trouble paying for hype they should be making available for free to bring in interest in the new game), I was surprised to see that they HAVE provided something for free on their website. That's right, they are making available the Dungeons & Dragons Miniature Battle Rules. While I buy way too many of the Wizards prepainted minis, I actually DON'T play the game (I use them when playing the rpg)... I know it's based on the normal D&D rules, but without having played the original it's very difficult to read between the lines and know what changes can be gleaned from these new rules.... but changes can be gleaned for those in the know, so I wanted to share this with everyone.

I got this news off of Dungeons & Dragons Insider... and while I'm not thrilled with the new online Dragon and Dungeon magazine content, they are at least putting some information about the new game up - though frequently much reading between the lines is necessary. Be prepared to need to create an account to see the good stuff though.
