Think You Know Your Magic: The Gathering Planes?

The Magic: the Gathering website has an excellent article up about the planes of the game's world. You probably can name some of the famous ones: Dominaria, Kamigawa, Lorwyn/Shadowmoor, Mirrodin, Mercadia, Rath, Serra' Realm, Phyrexia and Ravnica--but how about Rabia the Infinite, Ulgrotha, Azoria, Cabralin, Cridhe, Equilor, Ergamon, Gastal, Ilcae, Kephalai, the Meditation Plane, Moag, Pyrulea, Segovia, Shandalar, Vatraquaz, and Wildfire? Here's a challenge: before reading the article, quiz yourself with the picture to the right, and see how many pictures you can match up to planes. It's fun!
Maybe your knowledge isn't as comprehensive as you think. So buff up on your planes knowledge, and even find the answer to the age-old question of why exactly the Segovian Leviathan is only a 3/3 creature when on its card art it dwarfs the whales swimming around it.
(Yes, yes, the main reason for this post was the picture. God, I love Magic card art.)

Yes the artwork is truely beautiful...Magic hires amazing talent ^_^. The article was very informative and it was good to learn about he lesser planes lost in time back when the game first started. Hopefully the planes of the future will be just as interesting an visually orgasmic ^_^
